60 DAYS TO A NEW ME

OK I have made up my mind. I am giving myself 60 days to pull off the ultimate me transformation.

I have found a really awesome Halloween costume that I want to fit myself into before my party. Not to mention I just want to change my mood as well. I have been in a really depressed state. I've gained weight and have really become in active. BUT TIMES ARE CHANGING BABY. I will be starting a workout, diet, and brain challenge. Hopefully that covers the major areas and the rest will fall into place.

The first week will start tomorrow 8/25/08 - 8/31/08. Here are a list of my goals for the week

Kick my caffeine a.k.a coca cola

Start a diet

Run or walk twice a day

Start school again

I think that is enough for one week. I will try to keep you posted each day or at least each week. Here is a picture of the costume that I dream to fit in.

Ok I am tired of looking at the depressing post on my site when I pull it up, sooooo I am going to write about something else.

I am going to give blogger ville a run down of some movies that we have watched recently. Saturday we took the little monk to see Space Chimps. I highly recommend you to wait until it comes out on video. They show most of the funny parts on the previews. It didn't keep Monks attention very well. I am sure when it comes out on video we will eventually buy it.

The next movie that we watched was Rocky. Yuck. To bloody and gross for me. Sugarbear liked it. Defiantly a guys movie. This one will probably make it to our DVD rack only because of my husband. It is really gross

Spiderwick chronicles was a good movie. I let my 3 year old watch it. I really think that it is suited for a little older crowd. The Monk enjoyed it and wanted to watch it again. He enjoys movies with dragons, goblins things like that. I know a little twisted for such a young viewer. This one was nothing compared to Beowulf. He really liked that one.

Bank Job. What to say about this. It was weak. That is really about all I can say about it.

Cheating

This is a post a little out of the normal but I just cant seem to shake it. Let me give you the low down of what is going on. A person I know has just found out that his wife has been cheating on him for a few years now. What a shock. I really feel sorry for the children they have together. I am sure they are the ones who will hurt more from the divorce than anyone. He has become very depressed and will barely talk to anyone. It is just sad.

The reason this is weighing on my mind is because they seemed so good together. He comes from a very religious background. His wife volunteers at the YMCA. He has a very good job. There life seemed so perfect and happy. I have to say I was shocked not of the cheating, but of the person doing the cheating. I really would have figured him to have cheated. Some of the comments he makes and just how he acts I really would have thought him to stray. I am just puzzled.

It seems lately that women are becoming more and more of the ones who are cheating what is going on with the world. I am very worried about him.

"J" Bouquet Contest

I almost missed out on the contest http://sunnylittleblog.blogspot.com/ posted for our friend "J" http://musingsfromleftfield.blogspot.com/. I have been checking periodically to see if anyone else has blogged lately and didn't see anything. Last minute about 8pm I checked and found this contest. The rules are to make a wedding bouquet for "J". The catch is that you couldn't use flowers or plants.

Since her wedding is a beach wedding I used shells, ribbon, and tulle. Unfortunately my photo taking skills really suck. The bouquet is actually much prettier in real life. Having said that I still posted the pictures for the contest. "J" I want you to know that I burned my self, I cut myself, and even yelled at myself. But every minute was worth it for you.

Being a Child Star

I am needing to find out if anyone in blog land can help me. I am interested in getting my son started in modeling and acting. He is very photogenic and has a wonder personality. I have search the web for some local agents and some talent shows. I would like any advise anyone could give. I am afraid that if I go to see an agent I wont know what to ask or look out for. I have contacted a few stores such as Target and Sears to see how to get him in the ads and was told I needed an agent. Help Help and Help.

Birthday Surprise

I am so proud of myself. I pulled off the best birthday surprise yet. I hustled to the last minute to make Saturday a wonderful day for my mother. It was her 58th birthday. I know, not a mild stone but it was something that was well needed.

We ordered BBQ from Poor Pollocks catering, a cake from Julies Cupcake Kitchen, wonderful dips from Tastefully Simple, and lots of fruit.

The most touching thing of the evening was my husband and my mother. My husband worked really hard all day to make sure that the yard was in perfect shape for the party. My mother told him thanks for doing such a wonderful job on it and he told her that it was not a problem because she was worth it. This brought tears to her eyes. Which in turn made me cry. My mom is not a very sentimental person but this party really got to her. I was so excited that it was such a success.

Mess, Mess, mess

Today was another crazy day at the job. The place looks like a cyclone hit it. Papers everywhere. I am tryig to get stuff together for the accountants to do the 06,07 taxes and just locating all the papers is a challenge. At the same time I kinda like it. I love to set out and tackle something and when I can see progress being made it really makes me happy.

I have been at home during the day with my son and working for a few hours in the afternoon. I still get dinner ready and when I get home we eat. The guy I work for seems a little nutty but really nice. I think he suffers from ADD. He has a hard time staying focused. Together we should make a good pair. I always like trying to fix people. hehehehe.

On another note my son is turning into this hell bent child who I am losing my patients with. I dont understand lately why he is becoming such a rude, defiant little boy. Today I must have spanked him at least five times. Nothing seemed to work.

We went to story time at the library on tuesday and the story teller was asking each child why they should not talk to strangers, my son being the realist he is pops off with "because they will kill you." You could have heard a pin drop. The speaker didnt know what to say so he just changed the subject. Wish I would have recorded it I am sure I could have made some money from it. hehehe. Kids you just never know what is going to pop out of there mouth.

Crazy Day

Today was the first day of a new job for me. I am not sure yet if I am excited or if I jumped into it because I have been out of my element.

The break down of the position is basically I am running the office. It is a small company and there are not a lot of people, but its great to be appreciated. I keep up with accounting, making sure appointments are met, pretty much keep the owner on track. He gives me the ability to come and go as I please as long as work is getting done. I don't punch a clock and it feels great. He is open to suggestions and doesn't shoot down ideas. I am also allowed to work from home if I want. I will keep everyone posted as I go along. I think knowing that I don't have to work also helps me have a new outlook on it.

I am finishing up a few projects that I have going and will be posting them soon. I will also have a give away coming up. Stay tuned for more.

I wanted to talk about a website I found and tried. The website is www.angelministries.com . For a low price of 31.oo you can get a large selection of food. Each state has this program and everyone can participate. I really recommend it for elderly people who are on a fixed income.

My first package that I bought had : 4 bacon wrapped fillet steaks - (they were very tender and tasted great) - 1lb of chicken nuggets (the kids loved them I liked them as well)- 2 big pork steaks very delicious. 1 bag of breaded chicken breast (haven't tried them yet) - a box of Salisbury steaks (haven't tried these yet either) some mixed vegetables, eggs, milk, Sara Lee Pumpkin pie, pears, onions, bean soup.

Overall I was pretty impressed. They only down fall I say is that if you want enough for the whole month I would recommend two boxes or buying one of the addition meat box. Our box will last us about a week. I recommend the box for a family of two and maybe one small child. They really go by portion size. Over all it still saved us money on groceries. The place I picked mine up from will allow you to swap something that you don't like for something else.

I recommend everyone to check it out. I ordered some more for next month.

Movie Review

This weekend we watched a movie called Untraceable. I have to say that this movie really got me thinking. If you can not handle blood or gore than I don't recommend you watch it.

Basic run down of the movie: A guy uses the Internet to kill people live. The more users that log in the faster his victim dies. The way he kills them is really gross. The part that really disturbed me is how real it could be. People of this day and age are so interested in the awful things that happen to people. Each time he had a new victim the amount of viewers sky rocketed. Its amazing how word of mouth works for violence, sex, nudity etc. but when it comes to someone doing something great it takes most of them dying before they are ever recognized.

The other part that got me thinking was how the FBI monitored the Internet. It was really cool. The way they tracked down people who were trying to lure kids, swindle money, and hacked systems.

I liked the movie could have done with out the blood and guts.

Memorial Weekend

Our Memorial weekend was fun. I got to hang out with my friends and some family. Saturday my mom and I went to Mercer Park for an exhibit on bamboo http://www.hcp4.net/mercer/ that is where the pictures came from. Then Sunday we went to the lake left the little monk with grandma and I had good adult time. The food was terrific, water was nice, and I managed to keep myself from getting to burnt. Creative Road Block and Frustration

My brain is a swimming pool of creativeness. However I am starting to get really frustrated. I feel like I woke up one morning with a small case of amnesia. I feel like each day I am losing a part of me slowly. Its almost as if I am forgetting who I use to be and what I am capable of.

My brain is swimming so fast. I keep coming up with new ideas that keep me sidetracked from what I really need to be doing and nothing is getting done. I dont want to wake up one morning and feel like I wasted the perfect opportunity to do something really wonderful for myself and my family.

I love being at home and not working but at the same time I feel like I am not pushing myself hard enough to succeed at my business. I feel like I am fading into a world where I soon will have forgotten just what I set out to accomplish.

Just a tid bit about life

Well I have to say that this weekend was much better than lately. We had a nice relaxing fun filled weekend. My nephew had a birthday party he turned three. He looks just like my son only a little thicker( He is the one in the red shirt). The party was at Old McDonald Farm. It's a place where they have a petting zoo, swimming pool, lots of slides and swings, and sand mounds for them to make sand castles. The weather was great so the kids didn't turn into krispy kritters unlike today. Then after that we played lotaria (not sure if I spelled that right) Mexican Bingo. It was fun I won three times. I actually had an enjoyable time at my in laws.

Since I have not been working at CAM my life seems to be getting back to normal. I am happier and less stressed. My family even noticed the difference. I laugh again. I didn't realize until now how much that job was changing my personality. Now I just need to get in gear and find something that keeps me in touch with the world. I am working on my own business again, plus helping my mom with her new investment. I have so many ideas flowing through my brain that it sometimes is hard to keep up. I get lost in new ideas that I don't finish the old ones. Sometimes I have to give myself a big kick in the butt to get me going. I think once I get adjusted to being home I will be able to get a lot more accomplished.

My mom made a comment the other day that really hit home. She usually doesn't complement but analysis everything. She had told me that she was happy I wasn't working at CAM anymore because my whole smiling bubbly personality had disappeared. She told me that I was the one that always brought her spirits up when she was feeling down. She told me that I always kept a happy outlook on life even when it would hit me hard, but lately it was gone. Now the old me is coming back. It really made me feel good that I brought joy to her even when I was just being me. I have to agree that I was becoming someone I didn't like.

Thursday Blahhhhh

I went grocery shopping today. I found out that Thursday around 2 is not I repeat not a good time to go. I have never seen so many people during the week at walmart. It was worse than the weekend after church. This is a pic of my little Monk. I wish I could say we had an enjoyable time today but we did not. By the time we made it half way through shopping I was ready to pull my hair out. I have to say him staying home full time has really changed him. He has become very sassy and bossy. We are working on this problem right now. Not sure if its the age or the being home. We have been having a good time though for the most part. The weather has been quite nice allowing us to spend a lot of time outside. We put up a hammock and the Monk seems to really enjoy. I have to drag him out of it. I am working on some new projects that I will post about once I get some of them done.

1st week off

Hi Everyone,

I am new to blogging. My friend "J" told me that I need to start blogging. Here is just a tid bit about me. I have just become a stay at home entrepreneur mom. I have put my faith in God hoping I have made the right decision. I own a company called Yummy Tummy Treats. I had to put it on hold for a job that I use to work for. If you ever want to learn about people work for an HOA company. All I can say about that is OMGosh. :( . Now I am back and going forward with my own company. I have a wonderful husband that is good to me and a wonderful little boy. Plus a very supportive Mom.

A little bit about Yummy Tummy Treats. I make gourmet dog treats and cakes. I also host dog birthday parties, dog weddings, yappy hours, and cater dog events.
